Blackburn’s Beck ‘has bite mark’ after Osmajic clash
Blackburn Rovers defender Darragh Lenihan has revealed that teammate Joe Rothwell was left with a bite mark on his back after a clash with Doncaster Rovers forward Elbouzedi Osmajic during a recent game.
Lenihan explained in a post-match interview that Beck showed him the bite mark in the dressing room after the game, which left the team shocked and disgusted by the incident.
“It’s not something you see very often in football, especially at this level,” Lenihan stated. “It’s unacceptable behavior and something that should not be tolerated on the pitch.”
Blackburn manager Tony Mowbray also condemned the incident, calling for swift action to be taken against Osmajic for his actions.
The Football Association has confirmed that they are investigating the incident and will be speaking to all parties involved to gather more information.
Osmajic has denied any wrongdoing and claims that he did not bite Rothwell during the match.
Blackburn Rovers are now waiting for the FA’s decision on the matter and are hoping for a resolution to prevent such incidents from happening again in the future.
Despite the off-field controversy, Blackburn Rovers managed to secure a 2-0 victory over Doncaster Rovers in the game, with goals from Bradley Dack and Adam Armstrong.
The bite mark incident has overshadowed what was supposed to be a positive result for Blackburn, but the team remains focused on their upcoming matches and putting this incident behind them.
Blackburn will be looking to continue their good form and push for promotion in the Championship, with hopes of returning to the Premier League in the near future.
